Andy's Poor Car

The one night that Andy and I finally go to bed at the same time (After midnight) and his car gets broken into right in front of our front door. We didn't hear anything. Scottie didn't even bark.

End of Day Two:

Finally getting our landscaping done!

We finally had a landscape person show up when they said they would, and even beging working that same name. Awesome. We've had a few different companies not even show up or call back. Below is a picture of before (actually, when we first moved in). I'll post updated pictures that show the progress as they come.

First snow in the new house!!!!!

Only in Texas can it be 75 degrees on day and snow the next. And of course, I fell on my butt while walking Scottie, but all is well.

The Media Room

The media room is coming along. All the electronics are up and running, the couch is in. Just need to touch up some paint, hang some pictures and some accessories and we will be good to go. I decided to paint the wall with the screen black to make the speakers disappear. Here is the before picture:

The Pool Table

We found a great deal on a 8' Legacy "Kacey II" pool table. It was on EBay, but it never hit the reserve. It turned out they are in McKinney, only about 5 minutes away. We made an offer, paid a pool table moving company to move it and put it back together, and now it is game time! The pictures are of the pool table in the prior owner's home. I hope to have some updated pictures of it in our home soon.

New Couch

I finally found a great couch for our downstairs living room. I knew I wanted a square sectional, leather (but not dark), a right arm chaise, and comfortable. This couch is by Lane, it retails for $3800, this website sells it for $2995 http://www.ahwayside.com/sales.html. I got it at a model home warehouse sell for $1200. I had to make two trips for a total of 88 miles and move the couch off of the truck into the garage myself, but it was worth it!

New House / New Floors

The new house is finally coming along. We had TV installed Tuesday (the 26th), hand scraped wood floors installed in the downstairs living room and bedroom on Wednesday (the 27th) and should be getting phone and internet today (Thursday the 28th). We are very excited to finally see some progress, we hope to actually have some furniture in the house soon! Below are some befores and afters......

We Might Be Moving Soon

Andy and I have been looking for a new home. We have bid on a house in Mckinney and are having it inspected today. Hopefully all will go well and we will sell our house in Dallas very quickly.
